I first got a banjo in 1976 and have been playing and studying bluegrass style ever since. My first Banjo Newsletter came in 1977 and I learned about kit banjos and have enjoyed making cookie tin banjos off and on since then. I have played bass since 1987 when I took it up to join a band. I took up the Dobro about 2000 and have enjoyed playing and recording with a few different bands. I've written about 25 songs and given lessons since about 2005.
