Taught mandolin for 12 years at McCabe's Guitar Store, St. Monica, CA. Tutor at Festival of American Fiddle Tunes (mandolin, banjo). Banjo/mandolin judge at Topanga banjo & Fiddle Contest, Calabasas, CA for many years. Wrote and self-published four music books: "Clawhammer Banjo String Band Favorites," "Ragtime for Fiddle and Mandolin," 蕦 Hot Tunes for Fiddle and Mandolin" and ൘ Original Piano Rags." Sometimes member of the "Growling Old Geezers" string band. My favorite banjo playing is clawhammer in the Round Peak style, especially on my fretless banjos. I also teach clawhammer banjo and old-time mandolin.
