FULTS Tailpiece use

From Aradobanjo on 5/5/2012 8:41:59 PM

Hello,

I would like to hear from other TT banjoists if they are using the FULTS Tailpiece. I am using a FULTS Cumberland on another banjo I have. I liked it very much as it solved some tonal issues with the SL-5 I had on it. I see that the Gibson Presto is resting against the Hoop. I like the idea of the Hoop being neutral of any attachment other than the neck. Thoughts?

Hello,

Yesterday, I received all the pieces to the 1934/F-20 tailpiece combo. This rocked my boat. Bob Fults is a great person to work with. Very informative. My RB-12, with new strings, Bill Keith D tuners, and Fults Tailpiece, sounds better than I expected. The stock Presto with the screw removed seemed to leave the sound pinched/stifled. I am enjoying the change.
