I find it nice to have an audience of two dogs, countless birds, lizards and bees. They join me in the backyard when I give my "loner concerts"..

The lizards must feel the vibration from the strings because they gravitate around me when I play. The dogs just know it is time to get a pet with my fingerpicks.
