I love these Texas-style tunes and nobody does them better than Alan Munde in my opinion. So here I am trying to play "pretty close" to Alan's version of this fine tune. It was a challenge, but fun - hope you like it!

Tune sounds great Laurence, nice clean picking, and your tone is full bodied and juicy.
If I may ask, what was this recorded with? Lovely and clear.
cheers
Gareth

Thanks for the nice comments Gareth. This was recorded with a Zoom H4. I have a little 5x5 "recording" closet with a sloping ceiling and lots of clothes/baffling.

Yeah , the tone on Durangs HP was KILLER too. Perfect for that style!!! That ZOOM H4 records a banjo so well. What is it about that lil dinky thing?..I could EQ all day with this garbage I got and never come close to that tone......Great Job!!

Wow, I love hearing compliments about tone! Maybe it's because the H4 has NO EQ settings whatsoever! You can't change anything, but on the other hand, you can't mess it up either!

Laurence

Laurence, that was very, very pretty and clean. I agree with the others about the tone you got; what's an H4 run? Thanks.
