Ramsey Chanterelle open back Banjo, 11" pot, No Knot tail piece, SN 312, arm rest, hardshell case. Gently used, in excellent condition from a non-smoking home. Frailing scoop, 17 frets not including the nut. Nut to bridge measurement: 26". Ebony fretboard, Tiger Maple neck, curved brass tone ring, Griffon inlaid headstock, shooting star inlay on fretboard. I haven't played banjo for years, downsizing and giving someone else the opportunity to own this wonderful Ramsey banjo. The sound is very sweet and will not disappoint. This banjo has the Bacon tone ring, which is exceptional. I do not know what year this banjo was made. I bought it used, excellent condition quite a few years ago. Comes from a clean, non-smoking home.
Updated info: This banjo also has 2 (two) RR spikes - one at the 7th fret and one at the 9th fret. Adding info after a recent inquiry.
I have not played banjo for 5+ years now. It has taken me this long to reach a point where I could part with this banjo, as it's really special. Since I'm no longer actively playing banjo there's no possibility of doing a trade with this instrument. Several people have asked about doing a trade but this is just a straight sale.
