This is an Earl Scruggs model Vega. It has the "dog bone" type tone ring.
There is some wear on the finish close to the neck, I will include that in a photo.
Other than that, I would say it is in excellent condition.
These are known as well built, great sounding, and very playable banjos, and this one is no exception.
This weekend I will post the serial number and add some photo's.
I started playing 6 string banjos, and I'm selling my 5 string banjos. When I was playing 5 string, this banjo was a long time favorite of mine, due to it's tone and playability.
