This Epiphone Mandobird VIII 8-string electric mandolin was purchased new from Musicians Friend in August 2009. I got it so I could practice quietly (unamplified) at home in the early morning when I was taking mandolin lessons last Fall. It's probably been played less than 20 hours and is in excellent condition, no scratches. It includes a carry bag, a nice strap, 2 sets of Fender nickel wound original bullet strings and 2 sets of Jazzmando JM-10B ball-end acoustic/electric strings (http://jazzmando.com/jazzmando_jm10b_flatwound_strings.shtml). It's a lot of fun through an amp of course and really opens up the possibilities compared to an acoustic mandolin.
