I have a 1977 Stelling Staghorn that is in dire need of a complete fret replacement.

The frets have been dressed at least once and are worn out..

I should have had them done before Geoff retired.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good luthier that has experience with installing and dressing stainless frets on banjos?

I have some Evo Gold fret stock from prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine that I would like to use. Evo Gold installation uses same technique & tools as stainless.

I will be in Central Coast California this week and am willing to hand deliver as far south as San Luis Obispo or an far north as Clear Lake.

Next week I will be in the Portland area and will be able to drive as far north as Seattle or anywhere in western Oregon.

Siminoff (Atascadero), Gryphon (Palo Alto), and Sylvan (Santa Cruz) come to mind...
But, I am open to other luthiers.

Last year Ian at Stone’s guitar repair in Bend, Or. did a beautiful job installing stainless frets on a D18 for me.
I maintain, anyone who can refret a radiused guitar can refret a flat fingerboard banjo.
