I have a Prucha banjo that has a wider neck & fretboard than my Osborne Chief banjo and the Prucha seems to be much easier to play (due to the wider neck), so I was thinking of replacing the neck on the Chief. Is that a good idea? What do you suggest?
Just be sure to keep the original neck, for the future.
My suggestion is to get an additional banjo ... one that already has a neck you prefer.

I already have the 'additional banjo' that has the preferred neck. I'm just curious if it is a good idea to maybe get Frank Neat Banjo to replace the Osborne chief neck with a wider one. Does he do that kind of work? How much are such replacements?

Sorry I'm no help with the "technical" stuff.
Sell the Chief and buy a banjo with a neck that suits you better.
Perhaps Nechville, another Prucha, etc. ...
