I transcribed Aesop Mountain from that viral video of Andy Thorn playing in front of a wild fox :)
I found a set of tabs here already from Yamr3, though it seemed to me that he took a few artistic liberties and also pitched it down slightly (presumably to avoid having to retune the 5th string), but I wanted to play what I was hearing. So here we are.
This was my first attempt at transcribing a recording, which was a lot of fun! It was also my first attempt faffing around with notation software, which was decidedly less so. But I think the end result is pretty good.
I can't link to it or the video (or even properly tag Yamr3) here due to this being my first post, but the tab is at v=29280 (or you can just find it on my profile).

Andy plays the original on a short scale, but this video shows he is capo'ed at the 4th fret.
Oh nice! I was going off of the original - I hadn't realized he played it at two different pitches

ojensen5115 i believe the original is on a “C Scale” banjo. Looks like 18 fret. I think capo at 4th is probably right, but will try your version tonight
In the fox video he is playing in the key of F on a short scale banjo without capo. I think he is in an eqivalent to the double C tuning fFCFG. The second video he plays in the key of E on an ordinary banjo with capo 4, so I guess he may be tuned to double C capo 4.
Makes sense - from my experimentation, using only my "ordinary" banjo, I need to tune it to double-C and then:
* set the capo on the 5th fret to match the original video
* set the capo on the 4th fret to match the second video
