When I do a 'Luthier Search', the 'Newest' and 'Popular' options return results immediately. When I select 'Nearest', it says "Please wait..." and never comes back with results. I tried changing my profile zip code as a test, same result. Tested on Chrome and Firefox, Windows 11.
He's right. I just tried it on three different locations with the same results.
Mine comes up with a dozen or so within Canada pretty much instantly.... but it's more-or-less random so far as distances are concerned. I expect there are luthiers in parts of the USA that are closer to me than some of the Canadian ones that appear on my list, but they're conspicuous by their absence.
FYI, Google AI gave a pretty decent response to this query: "Give me a list of custom banjo makers in order of proximity to new york city"
EDIT: re-submitting the exact same query a few minutes later gave somewhat different results !

Seems a case where the search choices exceed the program’s capabilities. Nothing we haven't seen many times before with many programs over the years.
