I want to try my hand at making banjos, and thought that making a mountain banjo might be a good start.
Does anybody have any recommendations between the MusiMaker's plans and the Folkcraft plans?
The folkcraft appears to be the most accurate of the old ones I’ve seen in person.
I agree with Rick. You might also look for a copy of Foxfire 3 which (I think) has information about making a mountain banjo. The MusicMakers plan provides a modern neck with somewhat of a mountain banjo pot.
