The Trio learned this from The Seldom Scene who credited Alan O'Bryant as the author. When they recorded it, they asked Mike Auldridge to play Dobro. He actually used a Weissenborn guitar on the recording. The Seldom Scene recorded it in E, The Trio recorded it in B.
Thnx, Mark. Linda and Emmy Lou used to get up on stage with the Scene to join in on à number or two, if I remember right.

Yes, they did. At least one of the Seldom Scene's live albums features both of them, along with a number of other prominent artists.
