Pete & Woody
When a young teen , I discovered one of my aunts had a collection of The Weavers LP's whereby I borrowed them & became a fan of Pete Seeger . So much so I bought his banjo book & a new Vega long neck banjo from a local music store . A few yrs after that I heard my first BG band , Wilma Lee & Stoney Cooper , on the roof of a local drive in theater during intermission which put me on a totally different banjo direction . Sold the Vega & ordered a new rosewood Ode . (wish I had kept it )
Today , @ 87 I can still play fairly well & have too many instruments but it;s been an enjoyable trip ! ![]()
