A waltz with a southwest flavour,, sung by Gene Autry back in the day; music by Jack Tenney, lyrics by Helen Stone. The arrangement is from Alan Munde and Beth Mead’s “Great American Banjo Songbook”.

This sweet old classic was one of my faves when I was a tyke. I would sing it in my tykish voice, my tykish ears having misheard some of the words with predictable, unintentionally humorous results.

Hadn't thought of that song in years. Nice arrangement! Guess I'm going to have to see if I can work it out on the banjo. At least I have a good video to watch/listen to that will help me.

Thanks for posting.
