Hey everyone! I am new to the hangout and thought I'd see if anyone knows how to play Sally Goodin like Russ Carson does on the Tour Bus Sessions Youtube video. I got the Scruggs version, but I really like the way Russ plays it. If there's anybody out there that'd be willing to formulate a tab or something that has the down the neck backup (during the fiddle break) and also the down the neck break(I won't need the up the neck break) it'd be really helpful. I could try tackling it, but I'm not the best at learning by ear quite yet, so I'd appreciate some help from somebody here if willing. Thanks!
Since Russ Carson is doing his own version and you know Scruggs version why not take a little of both and do your own version... or get a Janet Davis tab to help you attain your own style. Many banjo players have.
Why not ask Russ himself?
He's a member here at the HangOut, '81Crowe' if I remember rightly.
