The deal is that I'm hoping to turn a guitar I never play into a banjo that I'd play all the time. Obviously you can trade cash for banjos, so I'll happily take cash. But a trade safeguards against the cash turning into a utility bill or something before I get a chance to make it a banjo. So I like trades.
I split my time between NYC and the Hudson Valley of NY, so I'm pretty flexible in trade locations.
