I hope this is the forum to post this.
I'm making these gauges to help level a Tension Hoop.
If you want to see a video of it in action, please go to my website.

Thanks so much,

Mike

If I understand your device correctly, it allows you to measure the distance from the top surface of the head to the top face of the tension hoop. Essentially, it's a specialized digital height gauge. I presume that you would tighten the tension hook nuts so the measured distance is the same all the way around the tension hoop.

Why do you think it's important to achieve that condition with a high degree of precision?

I use PLA from Atomic Filament. Made in the US in Kendallville, IN. Close to me. Really durable stuff. I use a little PETG. But if I'm doing car parts or outdoor parts I use their ABS-CF.

I'm a tinkerer. And a former Journeyman toolmaker before getting into CAD/CAM in '87. It just makes sense to me, but it may not be for everyone. I just saw an old video of John Hartford where he said his philosophy is "If it's worth doing it's worth OVERDOING!" I like that. I relate! smiley

Oh, sorry. 13% gyroidal infill treats me well.
