Operated on 2 weeks ago this Thursday.Couldnt see out of it for around 8 hours after getting home.
VA said go to nearest ER who kept and tended me and then into a Rockland Pen Bay to Mass Eye and Ear ambulance early Sunday morning .
I have to say how incredible it was to be in the middle of all that activity somehow kept in such order. And when it's your turn they treat you like you're the only one there.
I mentioned that it had been 36 hours since I had eaten and a few minutes later someone handed me the best Waldorf chicken salad sandwich I've ever had.huge stuffed pita wrap just made.
Then they whisked me ont
the Boston to Brunswick train.

I can't DEMAND that you get well, but I can WISH.
And like the old song goes:
When you wish upon a duck,
Makes no difference.....
Thanks everyone.
On the way to my post op exam in Boston something interesting happened.
When I go to Boston I have to take the Togus shuttle which departs at 6 am leave home at 4 30 to drive the 60 miles to Togus VA.
With 15 minutes of arriving there I started to pass a slow truck nothing but clear road and fine driving conditions a 5 am on Rte 17 rockland to Augusta.
Just as I got close too the stake body truck a container blew off its bed and landed directly in front of me and disappeared under my car.
Heater fan was on and cabin instantly filled with heavy stench of gasoline.
Immediately slowed and turned onto the lovely breakdown lane.
Grabbed the keys and the phone and trotted 50 feet away from the stricken vessel.
I've only had a cell phone for a few days but I do know how to use the phone and get to here.
I dialed nine one one and in less than 5 minutes a firetruck and crew of 3...2 County Sheriffs and a ramp truck were all around me.
The 6 gallon gas can was still attached under the back seat.An attempt to dislodge it was given up on and little Hyundai was pulled up on the truck.
County Mounty offered to deliver me to my home 50 miles away at which time I shook his hand and thanked him.
Then the tow truck guy said the garage I chose was just 5 miles from my house and he'd take home.
My wife was always a stickler for having good AAA coverage.
AAA called me yesterday as they had been to the garage holding my little flower.
He sent an itemized bill.when I say itemized I mean every single piece to be replaced with all their prices and the businesses who supplied them.
Total so far 3200 dollars with the assurance that any surprises that might be uncovered during the 7 day repair will be fully covered by AAA.
