About 10 years ago, I developed a great interest in 6-string banjos, with a guitar type neck. I string it like a 5 string except the first string is a high g. As is the 6th string.
Prior to this I played 5 string, and would never have imagined making a change to 6 string.
But it works well me. Over the years I have converted several banjos to 6 string, purchased some vintage ones and have had several custom made. Some are extravagant. Now I have a room full of them. I'm getting on in years and I need to start thinning the heard.
I'm going to post some more in a short time.
