The 2026 SPBGMA banjo workshop will be January 25th in Nashville. Wes Corbett and Kristin Scott Benson are featured instructors and Jaroslav Prucha will be teaching banjo setup. I will be teaching the beginner session from 9:00-10:30, Kristin teaches Intermediate topics from 10:30-12:00. There will be a one hour student jam during the lunch hour for those who would rather pick than eat. At 1:00, Prucha talks banjo setup and fields questions about banjo construction and repair. Wes will teach Advanced topics at 2:00, then there will be a finale faculty jam at 3:30. Please help spread the word and if you know any promising young pickers who may not otherwise be able to attend and may want to apply for a scholarship please send me their contact info. I have encouraged Kristin to stick around and Wes to come early for the student jam at lunch time.
