Hello all!
A few weeks ago, I posted a poll asking which currently produced flathead tone ring is the most popular. While I didn’t receive as many responses as I hoped (only 33), it doesn’t seem like more are coming in—so I’ve decided to go ahead and share the results!
The chart below is based on the OpinionX “Pairwise” ranking system, which works a bit like a tournament of tone rings.
Each participant is shown two tone rings at a time and picks the one they prefer. The chosen one earns a point, while the other doesn’t. The more 1-on-1 matchups a tone ring wins, the higher its final score.
If two tone rings were never compared directly, the system can still infer their order.
For example: if Steve beats Bob, and Bob beats Joe, then it assumes Steve would probably beat Joe too.
Now, I do expect the results to be slightly skewed — a few respondents only voted on two or three tone rings out of the thirteen options. That said, it’s unlikely that any one person has hands-on experience with all thirteen, so I decided to let the system make its best inferences.
The poll will stay open so results can continue to build over time.
