Any ideas of how old this Banjo is? I believe it is an SS Stuart. 9 inch pot, 24 inch scale. Has cursive writing in pencil on the head. I can discern big hooping letter and a dollar sign. But can't really make out what it says. Only other insignia is the number 5 right under the dowel. Slightly concerned it’s a copy.
Looks Stewartish. Not sure what model
someone might recognize it from that picture, but it would help if you could also take pictures of the inside of the pot. often there is evidence of manufacturer on the dowel stick, or inside the rim
Not a Stewart. Post more and clear photos. Use lots of light and the focus feature on your phone.
