We played as King Neptune and his entourage joined us on stage.(49th year of the Lobster Festival.)
The Kingly One spoke of getting his "Land Legs" back under him as he's been undersea since last year.
We played for an hour doing songs the leader had written,another person wrote a song about building the 1/4 mile-long breakwater into Rockland harbor and has a lighthouse out on the end.
The word "Gallymander" is in this song and the use of oxen and rising tides.
I got to lead us in Black Diamond and Dixie Hoedown.
Nice to play with old friends.
Practicing tomorrow for Friday's "Union Fair".
The last time I played there was the year they had a rodeo that featured the black man that was all in the rodeo news,back then.
Word on the street is that P.I.T.A. is suing the L Festival for the death of 20,000 lobsters.
