1) The serial number inside the rim is 9603-15. Does this date it to 1996?
2) The original ring had been replaced to one that was a different brand. So, I had Nashville Plating gold plate a 1999 Kulesh, Gibson stamped ring that was originally nickel plated. Trying to get everything back to Gibson. Would there have been a difference in the Granada ring and Earl Scruggs Special ring (that's the donor source for this new replacement) from that time other than the gold?
1996 Serial. No difference in the rings - only major tonering differences in the Rich-era forward were Sullivan (late 1980s subbing for a bad batch of Kuleshes) vs Kulesh Sr. (AFP) and Kulesh Jr. Finally, there are Gibson stamped rings in the final 10 years that came from Sullivan (Crowe rings).
