Having electricity is NICE, but when Mother Nature shuts it down, nice to have my collection of FUNCTIONING kerosene lamps.
Picked one up at a garage sale yesterday. Hurricane lantern, 9 inches tall, 25 cents.
Before buying it, made sure the wick moved up & down, and the filler cap comes off. Will fill it & test it today, to be sure it WILL light when it HAS to.
