Can you name 5 fairly well-known country songs of the 1960’s/‘70’s that used a dobro?

1. Understand Your Man - Johnny Cash - Norman Blake on dobro, I think
2. Harper Valley PTA - Jeannie C. Reilly
3. Amanda - Don Williams - Lloyd Green on dobro, I think
4. 'Till the Rivers All Run Dry - Don Williams
5. Uncloudy Day - Willie Nelson

I remember most of those… the one I always think of is “The Year Clayton That Delaney Died” by Tom T. Hall. Jerry Kennedy played dobro on it.

Alas, I can't ... unless "Great Speckled Bird" is a fairly well-known country song from the 60s-70s.

... got any questions from us schmucks in the "lead up" category?   wink

"The Silver-Tongued Devil and I", from Kris Kristofferson's album of the same name.

The dobro on that track was played by none other than Norman Blake...

Not country but there are thousands of Hawaiian pieces and songs.

Gord Lightfoot’s Redwood Hill has Jerry Shook on doro.(also Vassar Clements on fiddle)  GL isn’t country, per se, but he has country music influences in his songs.

I'm missing something, I guess.  What does that question mean in alternative jargon?

A Canadian "Sorry."    There's a typo; should have been: "Got any questions for us schmucks [still stuck] in the "lead-up"category?

[Lead-up ...  like "10 catches" is a lead-up for basketball.   I need a "lesser" category to even have a sniff.  sad ]

Owen Methinks if it was a blues question you’d have more than a sniff.
