my better half has acquired a vintage honda civic--I was hunting within for specs and ran across a subsection starting with
"if you must travel with several children in the car''
the subsection had in depth things to consider that were obvious learned by victims assigned the task in earlier attempts

We had 3 that we traveled with. Best thing to do is get a pickup with a cabover on it and an intercom from it to the pickup. That way, you can keep in contact with the kids and yet have some peace and quiet without them asking every 3 minutes "How much longer is it?" "I have to go to the bathroom", Brother hit me, sister said a nasty word", etc.
Been there, done that. I'd rather travel with dogs. Much easier and much quieter.
