John Henry said to the shaker,
Shaker you better pray!
'Cause if I swing and miss that steel,
Tomorrow be your buryin' day!

Al: "Things to do."
Owen: Well, if you're interested, and had I known sooner I'd have traded ya. Crawling around on wonky knees under the deck to get it level. It looks like ants [I don't think we have termites???] ate enough at the bottom of one leg [of 6 in total] to let it drop about 2". I cut about 5" off that and found a slice of log just the right dimensions .... but have to shim up 3 others anywhere from 1/2 to 1". My "lovely and talented assistant" isn't that accomplished at judging thicknesses, reading a level, finding "things," so it means additional trips in/out .... but, no harsh words [maybe even thoughts?] were exchanged ... and I think the end is in sight.
