Maybe I'm behind the curb, I recently learned this tip from that kind of weird guy that makes the "computer tips you should know part 23..."
If you want to watch any longer format video on Youtube without commercial interruptions you add a "-" after the "t" in the word"YouT-ube" in the url and it will play the video full screen without commercial interruptions.
Seems like it will often say "video is unavailable" but then you just re-load the url and it will play the video full screen without interruption and will loop the video and play it over again from the beginning.
If you like watching longer YouTube videos, concerts, longer albums it's a really nice way of bypassing all the commercial interruptions.
Not sure if it works for all situations & firewall, but I've had tremendous luck with it.
Guys--this is a REALLY, REALLY bad idea.
Going to YouT-ube.com takes you to a completely different domain than YouTube.
It'd be the same as saying "If you go to the website 'PleaseInstallMalware.com' it'll play your videos without interruption"
While I can't guarantee you've now installed malware on your computer, it's very likely that you may have done so.
(I wish people wouldn't create websites like YouT-ube.com, but they do.)
Off my soapbox.

Ad blockers do work for youtube. Personally I use Brave browser, which has one built in.
Remember you are reducing the income of the youtuber by doing this.
Thank you kindly.

Originally posted by GrahamHawkerYes get an ad blocker. I see no ads on Youtube on my laptop. I use Firefox with uBlock Origin. I still see ads on the TV version. They are getting longer and more annoying I guess to encourage people to pay up for Premium.
On my home computer I also use Firefox and uBlock Origin and no ads are seen. Since I have a large monitor I only watch vids on this.
