Been wanting a six-string for a while, to play vintage jazz, and ragtime/blues. It's in pretty nice shape, after some minor tweaking and setup(new Gotoh planetaries, and a replacement TP). I'm very happy with it, given what I play on it. I hope to find an original style TP, although I'm not sure exactly what that might be. It came with a later Waverly or Grover, but that was broken. I probably spent more time fixing the case, than on the GB. I'd like to hear from other GB owners, about their own setups. The current TP, not shown, is a Goldtone 'Terminator', which works fine, just looks out of place.

Hi Dave
Lovely instrument!
I own a Weymann Gb open back with a huge 14’ pot, when I got it it had a recent calmshell five string tailpiece, I have changed it with a new gold tone, I have also set it up with a new renaissence head, wire armrest and a scorpion bridge, I love it…

Paolo, that's a lovely rendition of a fine tune! Your Weymann sounds magnificent. As much as I'm enjoying the Gibson, it's obvious from yout recording that the 14" pot produces a much fuller tone. So now I'll be on the lookout for something like the Weymann.

I really should play my Bacon 6-string Silver Bell more often...
