Q:  What's the best sound an accordion can make?

A:  The sound of it crushing a banjo at the bottom of a dumpster!

Difference between an accordion and a coffin. With a coffin, the dead guy is inside the box.

I, a banjo player, was in band for 11 years with an accordion player and learned to enjoy it. Granted, he only played it two or three times a set.

I grew up in Pennsylvania Dutch country in the 40-50's. There was a large presence of the accordion among the German & Polish communities, & the many bands that played at public events. Accordion lessons & "accordion bands" were a common thing. However, I really fell for the accordion when I heard slow tango music from South America.
On the other hand, I can't resist a good banjo, accordion thrashing.

Here's a mini-ha-ha from none other than Steve Martin:

Do you know the definition of "perfect pitch?"  When you toss a banjo into a dumpster & it hits an accordion!

I've never gotten serious with drums, but I do have a Farmer foot drum (https://www.footdrums.com/sets/).

I'm the only banjo player in our jam. I've heard them all, and especially banjo jokes that include an accordion, as if the only thing worse is a banjo. I just have to say, that kind of jealousy and envy is sad to see every week. I almost want to go over and give them a hug, tell them that they're going to be okay.

I recently played clawhammer banjo joined by a lady on accordion and it sounded great! We did a sing along of Jambalaya on the Bayou and I really thought that the accordion kicked things up a notch. I'm a big fan of zydeco music so no accordion hate for me, I think that they are cool.

The trio I play in has a full time accordion player! It works for what we do, I guess (I hope!)

When I watch accordion players I’m amazed at what they do! There is a LOT going on. I just can’t make fun of someone who can do that!

r/funny - Accordion sheet music

Caption for ^^: "Accordion sheet music."

The jams around here often have accordion players.  I showed ^^ to one of them .... she took it in good spirit, and didn't even counter with anything about banjos, or my inept "playing."  yes
