Hey everyone, not sure if this is the place to do this but just wanted to make everyone aware of a potential scam. I purchased this banjo via PayPal from the seller at an agreed upon price. He said he would ship the day I ordered. I did not hear from him for two days and now he has said to file a dispute on PayPal to get my money back and he would approve it immediately. That’s it. No explanation. When I called to let him know I have filed the dispute it now seems as though the phone number we had preciously spoke on is unavailable. We’ll see. Just hoping I get my money back.

You’ll be okay. PayPal support is a frustrating echo chamber of automated/ai-assisted chatbots, so you’ll need to patiently wait out their process (escalate and await the seller’s response, of which there will be none) and timeline (probably about 2-3 weeks)… but ultimately you’ll be reimbursed.
I always try to have the seller send an invoice, and unless I reeeeeally know/trust someone beyond the veil of the internet… always pay the “goods and services” fee.

I sincerely hope you get your money back.
I'll put him on my spammers locked out sticky so others won't get bit by this snake.
Thanks Sherry. I've been in contact with the OP and have been monitoring the situation. I was hoping it was just a case of life getting busy. I always recommend buyers using PayPal goods and services!
