Been watching the British mystery series "GRACE"
Set in Brighton, and almost every show has at least ONE shot of a large metal structure, the skeleton of some sort of building, out there offshore ways.
Too lazy to look it up, but I figure with all the Brits on the HangOut, someone will share their local historical knowledge.
We have two piers on Brighton beach Mike, which is quite unusual. One of them had a fire many years ago and was further damaged by a cargo ship called the Athena B. The pier has further deteriorated from neglect and storms. This is a very much very photographed pier these days and is home to many many starlings at certain times of year. The other pier is a thriving tourist/amusement attraction. I don’t watch the program you mention, so I hope I am commenting on the correct structure. Tony.
