I dedicate this beautifully arranged Hymn to the recently passed Pope Francis. I have had several members of BHO help me with this beautiful Hymn. Bill Keith is a Master at the simplest Music there is to the very advanced....Jack
It's a little ironic dedicating a hymn written by Martin Luther but somehow I think he would approve. It's a very nice arrangement. As a retired Lutheran pastor I may try to learn this arrangement. Thanks for sharing it. And like many others I am saddened by Pope Francis' death. He was a good and faithful church leader. Ken
Hi Kenneth,
Yes I understand what you are saying. I was hoping to at least be on the right path although, Lutheran by Faith--close enough I thought...Hymns come from varied sources I've always thought. But thank you Kenneth....Jack p.s. I was raised by Jesuits who gave some thought to Christ as being the most important head of the Catholic Church....

Bill's arrangement of A Mighty Fortress is supernal, as one would expect from Bill Keith, and your tab is excellent, as one would expect from Jack Baker. And I too was educated by the Jesuits, for 4 years in high school. I learned a lot from them .. not all necessarily in their favor. Michael
Ha,
Thanks Michael. I had an Uncle who was a Jesuit and came to my wedding on my Parent's farm and while walking to the garden, He told me, with Ellen (freshly wedded to me) and at my side, "John, you've taken a Heathen Bride"....Jesuit humor and Ellen took it as such--Ellen was not Religious....Jack

Jack, I am sure you are on the right path with your dedication. I hope you understood that I was posting this "tongue in cheek." I my first call to a church in Washington, D.C. a Jesuit professor from Georgetown University was my next-door-neighbor. He was a great inspiration for pastoral ministry. Unfortunately I never had any courses with Jesuits, but I did with Paulists and Franciscans. Ken
Ha,
Nah, I got your drift from the beginning......Jebbies were in my family personally and they were so funny to me and the family....Jack p.s. My Uncle, a Jesuit, was the head of the Georgetown Boy's School til he died I think .....William J. Driscoll S.J......Uncle Willie made me memorize all of the U.S. Capitals and I still can rattle them off when needed....HA
