They fixed me up a bit..so i am not as miserable..
But..
They are not 100% sure just what the problum is..
Halfta wait a few days n report back to them..
Fer me it is a pressure issue..
Hot or cold has no eeffect..
But boy bump that tooth..
N..you would think a Lightning Bolt went through yer head...
Kinda put a damper on me what's fer dinner posting... :0/
Not a recommendation per se, but, "They fixed me up a bit... " reminds me of an incident in my not-too-distant past. The doc was re-doing an elbow operation. On the first go-round I had felt mucho pain before they were finished hammering/chiseling/etc. I mentioned this to the anesthetist in the pre-op rigamarole for the second one. He said, "If that happens, just let us know, and we can give you something to make you real happy, real quick."
I hope you get the upper hand toot-de-sweet.

Sorry that happened..
Trigeminal neuralgia is a $itch !!! I’ve had many patients with it and a very close friend who has had it so bad that suicide was almost an option for her.
She finally had gamma knife surgery in Texas 2 years ago and it is taking time for symptoms to go away. She was miserable for a long time.
It’s one of those things like back pain, you don’t realize how bad it is until you have it yourself!!!
Slammer!!!
Al, I don't subscribe to topics so I don't see posts directed to me unless I just happen to e online at the same time a thread rises again to the top, and only ifI click on it again.
I *have* shared my jorney, atleast part of it, here some years ago. It has gone back and forth from being 12 on the scale of 10, which basically means you're balled up in a fetal position it's so goddamned painful, to being 100% gone for up to 11 months at a time.
For me it's centered on the roots of some teeth that are all crowded together. I did fine great relieve through acupuncture, and finally last January 2 2024 I had an eye tooth (canine) pulled and it helped a helluva lot for over a year. Made what little pain was left bearable.
This started kicking in again about 6 months ago, but t a tolerable level, then last week spiked to off the scale again for brief moments. It's like an electrified ice pick. The only difference this time around is the pain is fixed in one place, where before it jumped around a little all over my face but anchored to the roots of my teeth.
It can make eating or talking extremely painful.
It's been a year since I've been to acupuncture, and the clinic used is closed this week. I will be going next week.
And yeah, another name for trigeminal neuralgia is the suicide disease, the pain can be that bad.
I had neuropathy in my hands and wrists a couple of years ago,, it was bad when I laid down to sleep,, waking up every 2-3 hours with severe pain. I finally went & got acupuncture which helped tremendously. I also looked up & bought any supplements that helped nerve disorders (not painkillers)

I know how you feel. I was severely hurt by a dentist when I was a teenager and have been afraid of dentists all my life. I finally found a dentist who understood my fears and worked with me for years to get me where I trusted him and knew he wouldn't hurt me.
I don't like going to the dentist either, but I do, regularly. I'm 75 and my teeth are pretty solid for my age. I've lost a couple molars in the back and a couple crowns, due to injury, not infection, but I stay on top of it. I go in three times a year. The only thing worse than a visit to the dentist is a tooth ache. My wife's cousin is my dentist and he's my fishing buddy, so that helps. At least he isn't just some dentist.
I had that shooting pain like lightning to the brain. The root canal specialist dealt with it. Things felt better as soon as they got me in prep. And he worked by hand because he said the drill bits sometimes would break off during the procedure. I left the office a happy camper.
At least I didn't have one of my dentist uncles, Charlie, do it. Mom told us that she got a call from her sister, Aunt Vivian. "Get over here. Charlie got drunk and pulled four of his own teeth." Knowing Uncle Charlie, he probably knew what he was doing. As my sister once said, "Charlie drunk was probably better than Uncle Rae sober!"
