I am looking to constitute some old banjo parts to make a complete instrument. I require 30 hex shoes to fit to an aluminium rim. I have search both on Aliexpress and Temu but no success. I have also searched the net but without result.
NB. I have just found the Golden Gate ones at Saga Musical Instruments. Still looking for alternatives.
Any ideas??

I used the Golden Gate hex shoes on an Ode aluminum rim recently and they worked well for me. But I found that their shoe bolt has a smaller circumference than the original Ode (and more standard) shoe bolts have. Thus I had to have aluminum “collars” machined for each bolt, that fit around the bolt, took up the “slop,” and thus more completely “filled” the holes in the rim. Don’t know whether this would be true of your application, but thought it worth mentioning. (Hope it helps.)

Thanks for the reply Samuel. Yes there is a difference between US and Asian made which you have highlighted. Given that my rim is Japanese I don't know if it will be an issue. I am surpirsed that Aliexpress nor Temu have them given that so many Asian made banjos come with them.
