Finestkind, as usual, Chuck -- probably Lightfoot's best-known song.
I read somewhere that he didn't like I&S's minor chord interpolations, preferring his own I - IV - V changes. I'm sure it was a friendly disagreement, considering the royalty checks they generated for him! And their tempo was more laid-back than his -- two great renditions of a masterpiece.

Yes, that's true, Tim. He preferred his major chord rendition,, however Peter, Paul, and Mary also did a version with minor chords , and their record sales likely topped I & S's, so 2 Caddies in the garage for Gord...lol.
