Howdy. New here, first post. Long-time musician (mandolin and guitar player). I just picked up a Gold Tone CB-100 to try and learn clawhammer/old-time. Came with an acceptable but unsightly and somewhat uncomfortable metal armrest. I'd like something comfy, good looking, larger, and wooden. Point me to the good options please!

Zachary Hoyt makes very nice wooden armrests to fit practically any banjo. He has them listed in the classified ads here. He can custom make them too. In my experience, they’re comfortable, and they're quite reasonably priced. Worth your checking out perhaps. Good luck finding something that suits.

Did you check Rickard Banjos? I've bought 2 from them, one was curly maple and I think the other was walnut. Both very nice looking.

Random idea: What about covering the metal one with leather, or something similar?
