Any body have one of these kit banjos of the 70's& 80's or the aluminum pot? Looking one or several for a project. Anybody know who has the mould to cast these pots?
I have one I made from kit several years ago. I added a veneer peg head inlay and a Levi's buffalo strap.
I like that. I wish I could find one (or a source), I would like to build around the pot.
Use a ceiling fan.
Stew-Mac sold kits with those pots also. I had an open back one, and it was a nice little banjo for claw. I gave it to a friend whose belongings (including his banjo) burned up in an apartment house fire.
