Sometime around 1976, I commissioned a Colorado shop (not Ode or Ome) to build a Gibson Florentine reproduction 5-string. The builder had access to an original Florentine to help ensure accuracy. I think that the builder may have worked at one time in the Gibson custom shop. The banjo is an amazing piece of work. Over the many years, I’ve lost the name of the builder. Does anyone have any idea who the builder might have been?
