Some years ago, I had the TSA take apart a banjo I was traveling with, and in the process lost a resonator screw. At the time, and this was years ago, I tried a lot of different places to get one, Stew Mac, the builder, etc. got blown off, by I believe, the builders son who will remain unnamed at this point. Does anyone have a source for a gold resonator screw ? I can post a picture as I know they are different.

Check with Greg Boyd in Missoula, Montana. They have resonator hardware. Their website doesn't show individual thumbscrews, but it can't hurt to contact them and ask.

You don't specify if your banjo is Asian in which case the thumbscrew would most likely be metric. If it is US made them depending on the make and the age, the threads could be anything.

It’s an high end American made banjo. I sent an email to Greg Boyd. I’m hoping the Prucha hardware that he carries will work.
