Hello! If anyone could help me identify the chord shapes used in the video below for 'Trouble in Mind' that would be a huge help. The tuning is double c.

Thanks all

The camera angle and low volume make it a little difficult to follow what she is playing, but here's what I see and hear.

  • She says she's in double-C tuning (gCGCD) and I match that on my banjo.
  • She uses the usual chord shapes for C, F and G and along with some partial chords and some alternate forms.
  • She plays a C variant by fretting the 2nd string 4th and 1st string 5th fret for C at the beginning.
  • She does a quick jump to an F shape - 1st string 7th fret, 2nd string 5th fret.
  • Then a partial G fretting only the 2nd string 2nd fret.
  • Then a usual F and G.
  • Then a G alternate form - 5th fret on 3rd and 4th strings.

See if this helps.

David
