Hello all fellow banjo enthusiasts!
As many of you know, beloved banjo builder and musician Arthur Hatfield’s workshop recently burned down in a tragic fire. A few of our friends reached out to us (Kentucky Just Us) about doing a benefit show for Arthur. We thought it was a great idea! We contacted our friend, and long time Hatfield Banjos endorser, Dean Osborne about performing at the event, and he said that he and his band would be happy to do it. My first good banjo was a Hatfield Buckcreek, which I still have and play; it’s a killer!
Arthur has been a friend and inspiration to much of the banjo playing community, and this is a great opportunity for everyone to show him support.
After performances by Kentucky Just Us and the Dean Osborne Band, all of the banjo players will be invited on stage to play Foggy Mountain Breakdown together. Bring your banjo and a friend!
The admission is $10 apiece, with option to donate more, and for an additional charge, there will be spaghetti dinners available. All proceeds will go to Arthur.
I hope we can all come together and show our support to one of the best friends the bluegrass industry has!
