Anyone know the size and thread of the two outer pivot pin screws on a Stelling Tailpiece? Mine broke. Where to purchase? Thanks!

I don't. But if you can take the remnants of the screw to Ace Hardware, True Value Hardware, or any such store with Hillman hardware bins, you can find a screw that will fit, metric or imperial. The head may not match exactly, but it can at least be functional until you can source an exact replacement. Stainless steel will match the nickel plate nicely.

If the screw is too small for the hardware store selection, gun shops have smaller finer screws.

Hope this helps.

....or you could order a small lot from RTL Fasteners.

Incidentally - full disclose - i get neither a Christmas card or invite to their summer BBQ - but I recently invested heavily in their small and teeny sized sets of threaded metric and ASTM fasteners, washers, etc., during the 50% off promotion. The service was top-notch and the owner, Rich, called me later to apologize for a shipping overcharge. The fasteners are available in SS, black, or zinc plating (very few zinc) but the sets are mainly sold/bought through hobby shops for stick-built RC air planes and RC car builders.

There are no fasteners larger than 1/4-20 - as said they're the teeny ones but not yet watchmaker-sized fasteners.

So, in the same spirit of recommending a bridge X over bridge Y, i'm putting out here the RTL Fasteners name. Your missing Stelling screws are there ready to ship out.

I used to own a Baldwin ODE D in the 70's. When I first played it I didn't like the TP because it was similar to the Stelling but without the screw 'posts' for the strings. Instead it just has very poorly designed protrusion on the bottom of the TP for the strings. The Baldwin rep from America was in at one time so I told him about my opinion on the TP. He stated that "it was designed by some of the top players in America!" Hmmm .

In the 80's I got a work colleague to turn up some string posts and install them with threads into the base of the TP. They worked a treat.
