Hey all, I'm new to BH. I wanted to ask if anyone has access to this tune - specifically Scruggs' version. I have a bunch of tab books and this one is no where to be found. I scavenged the internet and still nothing. John Hicks introduced me to this song on his YouTube channel "long live earl scruggs". If you could share a pdf with me that'd be terrific, thank you.
Earl takes a break in this version with Hylo,, maybe at Newport?

The recording link provided by chuckv97 is indeed from the 1959 Newport Folk Festival. Below is a link to the discography of the Earl Scruggs Classic Bluegrass Live 1959-1966 album. Notice that the first eight cuts are all with Hylo Brown. If you mouse-click on each of those eight cuts, you'll see that all eight are from the 1959 Newport festival. Also below is a link to all eight recordings on YouTube
I might add that, to my earl, Earl sounds fabulous on the recording, and the tone of his banjo sounds fabulous. I doubt that Pete Seeger would have had any problem with the quality of the PA on that performance. I wonder if Earl was then still using a skin head on his banjo?
