I want to replace a banjo head and I've not seen this type of tone ring before. Also, I don't remember seeing the term "crown" applied to a banjo head before ... I've usually seen measurements.
The rough drawing below shows the measurements of the tone ring and the OLD banjo head. IF I have a correct understanding of the word "crown", I believe the crown on the old head is 3/8s inch.
Elderly Instruments has this banjo head and I would like to know if it is correct for my banjo: https://www.elderly.com/products/remo-renaissance-banjo-head-11-1-16-inch-diameter-low-crown-3-8-inch?variant=27741809573952
LATE EDIT: I've MISTYPED A MEASUREMENT ON THE END VIEW OF THE TONE RING. WHERE IT READS "7/16" ... THE CORRECT NUMBER IS 5/16!

The illustration you have shared has a tonering on the top of the head. Standard banjo construction has the tonering on the bottom, head on top of the tonering, and a tension hoop on top of the head.
Also I've attached a diagram describing banjo head crown height.
Hopefully this is helpful.
