Does anyone know the correct size screw size used in the 1-4 Rickard 10-1 banjo tuning pegs ? I bought 4 metric screws at a local hardware that looked close but they were the wrong pitch. The hardware had no thread pitch to check the original ones so I can order them. The original screws are 1/8 to short for my tuning peg buttons that I want to use

If you're referring to the slotted screw that that retains the plastic button, the specification for that thread should be 4-40 UNC. For reference, the nominal major diameter of the body of the screw is .108"
