I'm going to go up on the mountain behind the house where there is a GIANT beech tree with nice smooth bark. Beside all the initials and years inscriptions, I'm going to incise the classic set of hearts & flowers inlay pattern. With the Roman number "C" for 100. I expect all Masterclone makers to offer this Centennial Model in their catalogs.
It ain't the BANJO, pal.
It's the skill of the picker.
Once again, a VERY GOOD picker, playing a banjo which I had made, from scrap lumber (off a neighbor's discarded futon), four layers of mailing tape, and bits of stainless steel windshield wiper reinforcement for frets.
On the other hand, you could hand ME any banjo, Gibson, Stelling, Vega, Slingerland.... and I'd still be the same four-chord Folkie hacker I've been for over half a century.

I think its the thread title. If it read "Gibson mastertones celebrate 100", there might be kinder tones...might. lol
